How You Can Help
There are many ways to participate in and support the mission of the Tower Grove East Neighborhood Ownership Model (TGE NOM) group. To simplify participation levels, we created three levels of engagement:
- Level 1: Do-It-Yourself (DIY) Crime Prevention
- Level 2: Financial Contributions
- Level 3: Trained Volunteers
What makes this community so special is each person’s willingness to contribute to the health of our neighborhood in whatever way fits their talents, time, and finances. We encourage you to evaluate at what levels you can contribute and start making a difference on your block today!
Level 1: DIY Crime Prevention
Whether you are an active participant of the Tower Grove East Neighborhood Ownership Model (TGE NOM) or not, there are simple things you can do to reduce your risk of being a victim of crime. You can help make a safer Tower Grove East just by knowing your neighbors, being aware, and taking simple crime prevention steps. In fact, the more you protect your own home and block, the more you protect the community as a whole.
You can take simple steps to protect yourself and your neighbors by doing things like leaving your outdoor lights on, putting locking wheel nuts on your car tires, or keeping your properties clean and orderly. For more tips, see our crime prevention page.
Level 2: Financial Contributions
There are a number of qualified non-profits and public services serving our community that need our help. TGE NOM works closely with these organizations to understand their needs and mobilize the community to ensure their success. Additionally, our block captain and victim support teams work directly with residents who may need financial help.
